Solutions · Small business
You run the shop.
The site runs itself.
Hosting, SSL, backups, updates — the whole layer under your website, run end to end on hardware we own. No jargon homework, no maintenance Saturdays, no 2 a.m. surprises. You get a website that simply works; we get the pager.

In plain words
Four jobs, done end to end
Hosting
Your site lives on a server we own and answer for — fast, never oversold, watched every minute.
SSL
The padlock in the browser bar. Ours renews itself before it expires, so your site never wears a security warning.
Backups
A complete copy of your site, taken every night and stored away from the server — so one bad day can be undone.
Updates
The software under your site ages. We read the changelogs and apply updates on a schedule, so it never becomes a scary project.
The night shift
While you were closed
Most of what keeps a website healthy happens while nobody is looking. Here is what a night looks like for your site on the fleet.
- 01:30Nightly backup taken — files and database — and shipped off-node.DONE
- 02:14Core and plugin updates applied. Changelogs read first, like always.DONE
- 03:02TLS certificate checked: valid, auto-renewal armed.DONE
- 04:46Uptime check no. 286 of today’s 1,440 comes back green.DONE
- 05:58Caches warmed. First visitor of the day gets the fast version.DONE
- 07:00You unlock the shop. Nothing above ever reached your phone.
— a representative night on the fleet. Checks run every 60 seconds, all day, every day.
Off your mind
The list you never
have to think about
None of these are your job anymore. They are all real, they all matter, and they are all handled — that is what managed means here.
Already hosted somewhere?
The move is free and we do it — your current site keeps serving while we stage the copy, and visitors never see a gap. Here is exactly how.
- SSL certificate expiry dates
- Backup rotation and where copies live
- Security patches for the server itself
- Software version upgrades underneath your site
- Uptime monitoring and what to do at 3 a.m.
- DNS records and why email needs them
- Caching, and why the site feels fast
- Disk space quietly running out
- Renewals, expiries, and the calendar of doom
- What any of the acronyms mean
Which plan
For most shops, this is a two-plan question
Ember
$19/mo
Right for most
One site, updated every week or two, that tells people who you are and how to find you. Backups nightly, SSL current, updates applied — the essentials, minded daily. If money does not move through the site, Ember is not the cheap option; it is the correct one.
Start with EmberForge
$39/mo
Email, DNS & small changes handled
Everything in Ember, plus the parts people actually call about: your domain’s email and DNS managed for you, priority answers, a monthly plain-words health report, and small content changes done on request — new hours, new menu, new photo, just email us.
Start with ForgeRunning more than one site, or taking orders through it? Foundry carries up to three sites with Continuous Protection included.
Fair questions
Asked by every owner, answered plainly
Do I have to move my site myself?
No. Migration is included with every plan — we take a copy, stage it, verify it, and switch it over while your current site keeps serving. Your part is roughly one email and access to your domain registrar.
What happens if something breaks at 2 a.m.?
The fleet is checked every sixty seconds, around the clock. Monitoring catches problems when they happen — not when you do — and you get a plain-words answer the same day, usually explaining what was fixed before you were awake.
Can I still edit my own content?
Yes — your website login stays yours, and nothing about how you write posts or update photos changes. We run the layer underneath: the server, certificates, backups, and updates.
Do I need to understand DNS, SSL, or any of it?
No. That is the product. On Forge we also run your domain’s email and DNS records, so “something about MX records” never becomes your Tuesday afternoon.
What is not included?
Redesigns and content writing — those are project work, quoted separately if you want them. The hosting layer itself is flat-rate: no metering, no surprise line items, no per-incident fees.
